Interesting Concept
My friend and I visited a few weeks ago, and I must say it was a pleasant experience. The music/videos were jumping, the food was tasty and moderately priced, and the ambience was inviting. The bar tenders were great with the drinks too-- lots of delightful choices to choose from. This is a place for young hipsters and yuppie professionals-- gay and straight alike, enjoying a nice night on the town. My only negative was the place became a little too full after about 930pm. It could literally use another "level" to balance out the first two. I would recommend bringing a friend or two, as this isn't the venue to make new friends. Lots of neighborhood regulars caught up in their cozy corners. All in all I would definitely visit again. If you make a stop in Colombus and youre a fan of nightlife, you definitely have to check this out!...
too hoity-toity!
Visited once, too upscale for my taste, bartenders not very friendly and super judgemental. drink prices not that great.
Woohoo for level...
I really like this place. The staff is so friendly considering the decor. The food is delicious and not overpriced! Anyone that thinks the menu is overpriced should walk down the street to U and then compare and contrast quality/price. Level wins. I ventured into level on a Tuesday night and walked into the 614locals night. All the tables were moved in the main dining area to make a dance floor, lights dimmed and a mix of urban/house/techno music blaring along with a mix of black, white, straight, gay hipsters to match. My friend and I gave each other a collective "wtf?" look, ordered cocktails and stayed till close. Needless to say we went back every tuesday for about 2 months straight. Level offers something that columbus needed, a non cliche approach to the ultra lounge. Even the straight bars in this city don't have the genuine feel that level has. Thank you for this :) i hear they are opening a patio?
