Inspired by her Jamaican roots and echoes from her ancestor’s past BEARCAT is never afraid to delve deep and uses her emotive musical selections as a form of therapy, providing a bass heavy, bubbling mixture on the dance floor. In 2006 BEARCAT toured with various artist’s working as a backing singer, playing festivals such as Afropunk, Glastonbury and Lovebox. In 2008 she began pursuing her independent DJing and production career and has since played internationally including NYC, Berlin, Paris, Mexico City, and Oakland. 2016 has already been a standout year playing Boiler Room NYC, MoMA PS1 and her debut documentary score premiering at Tribeca Film Festival 2016.
