Making an Impact (Columbus) - National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Since the first cases of AIDS were reported in 1981, gay men have been in the eye of the HIV hurricane in the United States—and they continue to bear the brunt of the epidemic in North America. This year mark's the 7th year to observe National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. In Columbus, an event and fundraiser will be held at Axis Nightclub and groups and entertainers will perform numbers that speak to empowerment, being proud about being gay, or about HIV/AIDS from personal perspectives. We are thrilled to have this year's event hosted by Nina West with performances by Virginia West, Brent Fabian, Alexis Stevens, Freesia Balls, Diamond Hunter, Selena T West, Kiley Dash West, Sharon Snatch, Krystal Something Something, Indica, Anita Snatchh, Nikki Stone, Miranda Michaels, Plenty O'Smiles, Gretta Goodbottom, Cody Kincaid, The Wood Peckers & more. All proceeds will be split between HIV/AIDS education, prevention and testing efforts at AIDS Resource Center Ohio (ARC Ohio) and the annual Client Holiday Dinner.
