Union Bar + Food

Ive been going to Union for years ever since it opened it was a nice place to hangout. However since it has move to the new spot the sevice has gotten a little better and the food even worse. Everything taste like it been nuked in the mircowave or deepfried in day old oil. If you looking for a drink this is one area they should stick with. The staff is ok friendly but the place smell all the time and they have no real wine list. Union is no place i ever been to in NYC and whoever say it is has never been outside of Brooklyn.

No gay night out in Columbus can be listed without mentioning Union. The owners did a huge upgrade in the location, food, staff and image when they moved it North a few blocks. As for the cafe...the food is incredible and moderately priced. Service has really improved and is best in the city. This is not a pretentious place...you can fit in wearing a suit or shorts and a tshirt. As for a night out...the music videos with live VJ's are a huge hit and the drink specials, drag shows and live acts pack the house every night of the week. If you want to enjoy the gay side of Columbus...you have to start at Union.

I have been going to Union for years. Loved the old space, but really love the new location. You can see anyone and everyone at Union and everyone feels so comfortable. I take all my out of town friends here for great food, great social atmosphere, and friendly staff. I have only had great experiences the 11 plus years I have been going to Union.

Columbus is a GREAT gay city and much of it is owed to Union, Axis and Havana. The guys that did this also helped make this neighborhood awesome and GAY. I love the food. The space is hot and it is always packed. The service used to be ok but is amazing now. The new managers are the best - way to go Sammy Jo!!
