Southbend Tavern

southbend has been a special place in my heart.Also philip the owner, this bar has its up's and downs just like everyware else so to the snutty reviewers stay in the short north...

As a professional entertainer/drag queen for over 10 years, I must say this is a pretty sorry excuse for a drag show. Not only that but the queens seem very full of themselves considering the way they look, and their lack luster performances. Personally I will not be setting one heel in this place ever again. If they had any sense, they'd fire every sigle one of those talentless old hacks and find someone with some actual talent, beauty, HAIR (*not a fried out, frizzed out 20 year old wig), wordrobe and stage presence. Don't waste your time!

I tried to give Southbend Tavern a try, come to find out it really was quite the dive in Columbus, The drag queen's are very second rate, and do not have any talent at all. The bar staff can be nice when they want to be, but seem to be busy doing other things and have their moments of being very unprofessional (not sure what it's all about but don't feel safe in this establishment) The sound equipment is a little dated, and the bar owner/manager is not very nice and seems to be drinking more than he is selling, and doesn't have the first sense of Business. Can, I stress again the Drag is second rate in this bar. I strongly recommend looking at different venue's in Columbus for higher quality shows. Sorry Southbend, tried to give ya a chance but you lost my vote :(

Its great and friendly and Phil has done a great job turning this bar around. all you other peolpe with your attitude maybe you should just stay home or smell your own ass some time.

its old ...it stinks...its in a rotten part of town....parking sucks...dont walk to or from your car alone at night, it could be deadly....avoid this place !!!
